Tasmania is the ideal location
in Australia for photographing the Aurora Australis or the Southern Lights.
A popular location for viewing
the Aurora is at Howden on the northern side of North West Bay.
Howden is a few kilometres
south of Kingston, one of Hobart's southern suburbs. From Hobart Kingston
can be accessed by the "Southern Outlet", by heading along the coast through
Taroona or from Fern Tree.
More on the Aurora can be

Images of the Aurora Australis
displayed here along with timelapse video clips are available on the
HOBART DVD snd BluRay disks. Available from The Shot Tower Taroona, Wrest
Point Hotel or by contacting us direct.
