Wandle Falls

10 minutes drive south of the Hellyer Gorge the highway crosses the Wandle river.  There is a very fine walk downstream to Wandle Falls.  No more than 600 metres. The walk is on private property and the start of the track is not signposted.  The track starts right next to the bridge on the southern side.

 

A classic rainforest walk right by the highway.  One of the great short walks.  The track is very easy and marked by ribbon.  However, the descent to the bottom of the falls requires a little rock climbing.

 

 

The picture below is taken from the bridge across the highway.  The falls are about as far again from the first bend!  Note the sign above near the start of the track.
