The Organ Pipes

MT WELLINGTON

 

 

One of the walking tracks on Mt Wellington passes under The Organ Pipes. The track passes between the Springs and The Chalet which are on the road to the Pinnacle of the mountain. A track also commences from a small car park between the two. See below. A short 20 minute steep climb.

 

The track was upgraded in 1017/18 to a very high standard. Good enough for a child's stroller. A short 100 metre section from The Chalet was being upgraded in early 2019.

 

     
  The small car park shown on the right marks the start of the direct route to The Organ Pipes. The track commences at the rock retaining wall shown at the bottom left of the image. A very well marked track. The track from  The Springs and The Chalet is reached after about 15 minutes - shown below.
