 Cape Hauy

GALLERY

Cape Hauy from Monument Lookout.  A 20 minute diversion from the main track before descending onto Cape Huay itself.  The walk to here is rewarding enough with spectacular views towards Cape Pillar as well.  One has a certain sense of insignificance standing on the sheer cliff tops of the Tasman Peninsula.

LEFT: the vertical view.  Sheer and a little frightening.  RIGHT:  The junction with the Cape Hauy track and the Monument Lookout track which continues on to Mt Fortescue and Cape Pillar.

The view at the bottom of a steep descent where the start of Cape Hauy is reached.  Towering Monument Lookout is on the right and Cape Pillar is in the distance.
