HOLWELL GORGE

Just a few kilometres west of Beaconsfield this beautiful fern laden gorge is an excellent 1 1/2 hour walk (one way).  There are basic picnic facilities at the northern entrance.  The track is a hiking track and is awkward in places.  Like Notley Gorge, the walk out is moderately strenuous, particularly the western end.

A 15 minute walk from either end takes you to waterfalls.

NOTE: The gorge is prone to be affected by floods causing washouts of the walking tracks. Access to the eastern falls has usually been OK.

The falls at the eastern end of the walk.  10 minutes from the car park.
