Dove Canyon Circuit

Cradle Mountain - Pencil Pine

Opposite the Cradle Mountain shop near the entrance to the park is an often missed walk down Pencil Pine Creek.  A few minutes stroll leads to the base of Pencil Pine Falls.  The track continues on downstream to the junction with the Dove River.  The track then heads up Dove River along the top of Dove Canyon.

The track then joins the Pencil Pine to Ronny Creek boardwalk providing a 3 hour loop walk.

There are several short side trips to delightful waterfalls.  One of the great short walks.  The track is a little steep and rough near the top of the Canyon.  Otherwise a relatively easy walk on a hardened track (no mud!)'  An ideal walk if visiting the area on a wet day.
