D'Entrecasteaux Channel

The Channel

A popular day drive from Hobart is a tour of the "channel" district Through Kingston and on through Margate, Snug, Kettering, Peppermint Bay, Middleton,  Cygnet and on to Hounville.  The channel separates Bruny Island from the mainland.

There are two short walks in the area to waterfalls.  Being a small catchment area they are best visited immediately after rain.

The picture below was taken near Pelverata on the road from Sandfly.
