Cape Bruny

Bruny Island

 

 

Cape Bruny is at the south west tip of Bruny Island. After crossing the neck head west and pass through the towns of Alonnah and Lunawanna. Turn right at Lunawanna. Cape Bruny is a further 16 kilometres on a fairly good unsealed road.

 

A left turn at Lunawanna will take you to the very pristine Cloudy Bay.

Cape Bruny light station shown on the right is the third oldest in Australia. The tower was designed by John Lee Archer and was built by convict labour in 1838.
