Allendale Gardens is regarded as the areas best
attraction and one of Tasmania's best attractions. A superb 7 acres of
delightful garden "rooms" designed to provide a spectacle of colour throughout
the seasons. The gardens are flanked by a 65 acre "rainforest" walk.
Devonshire teas are also available.
You will find these
delightful gardens 10 kilometres south of Smithton on the way to the South
Arthur Forests, the Western Explorer and the beautiful Tarkine Coast at Sarah
Anne Rocks.
On the edge of the Tarkine.

2016 slideshow DVD.
A nice way to spend a day is to
visit Allendale Gardens in the morning, stay for Devonshire Tea and then follow
the same road from Smithton to visit the South Arthur Forests -
The Tarkine
Drive.
Well worth the hour or so
drive from Burnie. 2 1/2 hours from Launceston. There
are plenty of attractions nearby for an overnight stay or more.
